Transferable Soft Skills Development

What soft skills?

Soft skills, sometimes known as “people skills,” are personal attributes that enhance an individual’s interactions, job performance and career prospects. Unlike hard skills, which tend to be specific to a certain type of task or activity, soft skills are broadly applicable. It’s often said that hard skills will get you an interview but you need soft skills to get (and keep) the job. These soft skills relate to Project Management include and are not limited to:

  •     Ownership of and commitment to a common goal or purpose
  •     Managing team and client dynamics
  •     Creating a people centered as well as task centered approach
  •     Adopting/living  out  the  client’s  team  or  organization  culture,  to  maintain  a consistent way of working
  •     Empowering yourself and others to achieve the objective
  •     Achieving consistent follow through

To achieve these things there is need to base them around established methodologies. Soft skills and team work should not be considered as separate activities from the main work. Our promise is to stimulate and train people to constantly create positive transformations in their lives that enable them to consistently perform at peak levels and maximize their potential. We build the capacity of staff which results into an increase in organization’s productivity to levels that are otherwise thought impossible.

Methodology & A guide to the soft skills:

Kudos Consulting uses the Nuero-Linguistic Programming training model that is punctuated with other modern adult learning techniques to allow comprehension and understanding of the information, knowledge and skills shared.

We use customized PowerPoint presentations, video viewing, fun experiential activities, group discussions and role plays to create positive transformations and drive learning points home. When training, we embark on a journey to the “promised land” of best practice, which involves a trek through the harsh personal “self-soul search terrain” of change management. This methodology involves:

  •         Giving the client & their staff the confidence to embark on the journey
  •         Capturing their required attention up front
  •         Getting them doing their part
  •         Helping them understand the route & destination
  •         Holding them move with us through the journey
  •         Blending the team into a good quality working unit

That besides, we all make presentations in one way or another. We present ourselves in the way we walk, dress, talk and in our general outlook, both conscious and unconsciously. Our Effective Presentation Skills course touches on every aspect of presentations in order to equip participants with skills to be powerful speakers who leave lasting impressions in audiences and cause action.
